CBX: Committed to Supporting our Binational Community

At CBX, our mission goes beyond providing a seamless travel experience across the U.S.-Mexico border. We are deeply committed to positively impacting the communities we serve. Through collaboration with local organizations and sponsorship of community events, we strive to create and support opportunities for residents on both sides of the border.

One of the ways we make a difference is through CBX Hand in Hand, our program for corporate social responsibility campaigns. This platform allows us to partner with various organizations throughout the year, launching campaigns that address critical needs in our communities. Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished together so far this year and what’s upcoming:

Love for Paws: This campaign was a staff’s choice! We proudly partnered with We Saved a Puppy to provide medical care, food, and a loving home to stray dogs and cats in the Tijuana-San Diego community.

Flying Side by Side: In coordination with the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego and MAAC, we launched a fundraising effort called Flying Side by Side. This initiative benefits Colibri MX, a scholarship program that supports Latino students who are the first in their families to attend college. We believe in the power of education to transform lives and are honored to contribute to this cause.

One Toy One Smile: In collaboration with Fundación Emilio Nares, this campaign focuses on providing bilingual comprehensive services to families of children receiving treatment for life-threatening diseases. Our passengers contribute to this vital cause by purchasing a CBX ticket. Additionally, a toy drive was organized to distribute toys to children at CRIT Tijuana for Children’s Day, bringing joy to those in need.

Freedom For All: Recognizing the importance of safety and security, we partnered with Fundación Freedom, an organization focused on battling human trafficking, to enhance the protection of travelers crossing the U.S.-Mexico border via CBX. Our campaign, "Freedom For All," successfully raised $16,531.27 to support Fundación Freedom’s essential work in this area.

Warm Hearts Warm Meals: Alongside This is About Humanity and the International Community Foundation, this campaign addresses hunger insecurity at the U.S.-Mexico border. The funds raised are donated to Fundación Tijuana Sin Hambre, which operates a kitchen supporting 19 migrant shelters and three underserved communities. This effort ensures that 3,100 people receive warm, nutritious meals every day.

Pink October: During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we encourage our passengers to join us in supporting the fight against breast cancer through early detection and proper treatment. Donations to the Pink October Campaign, in coordination with COMESAMA and the ICF, help us make a difference in this vital cause.

Cruce con Causa: Our commitment and determination know no borders! This fundraiser is dedicated to supporting the Teleton campaign for CRIT Tijuana, which helps provide care and services to children in need.
